12. Friendship
Friendship when you think about it, is a bit of a madness. Your friend is someone who has your back, understands your shit banter and typically creates stupid but memorable memories with. Everyone has varying levels of it too. You have the once in a blue moon friend where the exchange is roughly 20 words and that'll do for another year; right through to the ride or die ones who are there for you whenever you need them and you go through some serious crap, thick and thin.
That mental connection you have too, like you know what they're thinking, common interests, hobbies whatever it may be, you both develop this level of understanding which can't be practiced, it just forms. That connection is also an impression of you as a human, who fucks with you, who doesn't and all that jazz. It's also interchangeable too, they rub off on you, you start picking up their habits, well all the company I keep are funny as fuck... So I must be rubbing off on them!
Tell you what, the amount and the level of connection of the friendships you have drastically changes as you get older. When you're ridiculously young you are/want to be everyone's friend, it's like a status but when you get older say early twenties, the count is a fraction in comparison. However, everyone goes through shit in life, good, bad, ugly but you quickly realise who your true friends are.
Think about your friends, the close ones, distant ones even the crazy wacky ones, and think what does their friendship mean to you?
Until then ... 'smile and wave boys, smile and wave' - if you get that I tip my virtual hat to you!
